Myrtle Beach Bike Week
Myrtle Beach welcomes an astonishing 200,000 plus motorcyclists into town for a nine day extravaganza known as Myrtle Beach Bike Week! Myrtle Beach, traditionally, welcomes the bikers with open arms. After all, 200,000 visitors arriving all at once has a significant impact on the local economy.
The Carolina Harley dealers association (http://www.chdda.com) started Bike Week 65 years ago. There was a need to let the general public know how to determine when bike week is every year and the system the Carolina Dealers Association used was very simple. The 3rd Saturday of May is always the last Saturday of Myrtle Beach Bike Week. Look at 2004, when was the 3rd Saturday in May -- ( May 15th). If you check the dates of Bike Week past you will find the third Saturday of May is always the last Saturday of Bike Week.
Vendors display their wares on 5 acres of grass, and include makers and sellers of leather goods, t-shirts, parts, seats and seat covers, tires, and other customizers. If you're looking for anything for your bike, or something to outfit you or your passenger, Sonny Productions Motorcycle Expo at Murrells Inlet will likely have it.
